Thirty days before travel, confirm passport/visa eligibility, insurance, medical preparation, flights and core equipment. Two weeks before travel, complete major training, test boots and pack, and send TrekUp outstanding arrival details and dietary information. One week before travel, begin tapering, review documents, check prescriptions and charge/test electronics. Forty-eight hours before departure, recheck airline baggage rules, weather-resistant packing and airport-transfer details. Keep boots, medications, travel documents and essential trekking clothing accessible during travel. On arrival, attend the full TrekUp briefing and equipment check. Do not be embarrassed about missing gear or uncertainty—this is exactly when questions should be resolved. The objective is to start the mountain organized, rested and informed.
